Yard Position Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for outdoor work. Must be able to maintain production in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Must be able to work 8 hours+/daily and be able to work in hot or cold weather conditions. Read a tape measure Work individually and as a team Lift 100lbs Utilize hand tools and saws effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment used on-site. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Familiarity with hand tools and mechanical knowledge is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks. A strong willingness to meet quotas to meet and exceed the weekly production bonus. MUST be able to accurately read a tape measure. Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol test before hiring and agree to random testing throughout employment. Equipment Operator/Receiving Discount Pipe & Steel is looking for a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator/ReceivingPersonnel to join our team. This role is critical to keeping our yard organized, safe, and efficient. Candidates must have experience handling steel or similar materials and must prioritize safety and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Operate telehandlers, loaders, and other heavy equipment to move steel and pipe products Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely Receive incoming material, verify against paperwork, and enter inventory data into our inventory system Maintain equipment and perform daily inspections Work with the team to organize materials and fulfill orders Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies Communicate effectively with yard staff and office team Requirements: Minimum 2 years of equipment operation experience (steel yard, industrial, or construction preferred) Must pass an operator’s test prior to hiring Must pass a drug/alcohol test before hiring and agree to random testing throughout employment Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work daily Basic computer/data entry skills to input material receipts into inventory system Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions- Not all machines are climate controlled, MUST be willing to work in outdoor weather conditions.
